Casa de Saima Pinot Noir is the unexpected - and fortunate - result of a grape originally planted for sparkling wines, finding a new voice as an elegant, expressive red in the Bairrada region. What began in 2017 as a limited experimental release quickly won over wine lovers and has remained part of Casa de Saima’s portfolio ever since, always in small editions.
In Bairrada, Pinot Noir takes on a distinctive character: the ripe red fruit and delicate perfume typical of the variety are enriched by the region’s Atlantic climate and the subtle minerality of its clay-limestone soils.
Fermented with temperature control and aged in stainless steel, this wine preserves the purity of the fruit and favors a graceful, light structure. The result is a subtle, vibrant, and captivating red - made on a small scale, just as it began, for those who appreciate the more delicate side of Bairrada.
